Infobip Shift 2026 was the first tech conference where Workspace had its own booth. Four of us went to Zadar from September 13 to 15 with two things to show, Workspace and our Serwizz CMMS, and with boxes of merch we'd prepared for the occasion. For our CEO Ivan Lovrić, the trip had a longer history behind it.

"Shift has a special place in my story. It was the first tech conference I attended as a student, back when it was still held in Split. I remember watching the speakers, companies and people there and thinking how far ahead they seemed. This year, for the first time, I came to Shift as an exhibitor."

We wrote this recap for two kinds of readers. If you're weighing up a booth at Shift next year, you'll see what the conference looked like from behind the table for a small product team from Split, and if you're evaluating us as a software partner, you'll see the people who'd work on your project.

Infobip Shift 2026 in numbers

Shift took place at the Višnjik sports centre in Zadar, and Infobip's own figures put it at 3,000 attendees, more than 115 speakers and over 600 companies, spread across six stages and five halls. The conference started in Split more than a decade ago, Infobip acquired it in 2021 and moved it to Zadar the same year, so for a company from Split it still feels like a home event.

AI ran through most of the programme, from agents in software development to the infrastructure behind them, and it ran through most of the conversations at our booth too.

Our booth in the Expo area

Four of us worked the booth: Ivan Lovrić (CEO), Josip Brčić (CTO), and software engineers Roko Ponjarac and Luka Smiljić. The back wall carried the Serwizz headline, "Modern & simple CMMS, built for maintenance teams", with a live dashboard on the screen, and the counter in front carried the Workspace logo, a QR code for our company deck and a "Powered by Tehnološki park Split" line at the bottom.

Three groups of people came by most often. Students looking for a job were the first, developers from companies similar to ours were the second, and they mostly wanted to compare notes and find out whose grass is greener. The third group were the hunters of free merch, and we were glad to see them as well.

Shift is a developer conference, so we didn't expect a queue of maintenance managers, and we still got something useful for Serwizz: people from the community stopped, asked what we're building and why, and showed real interest in a product made by a small team from Split.

"We see tech conferences first as a chance to meet colleagues from our own industry, exchange experience and learn something new."

The merch we brought

We prepared four pieces of Workspace merch for Shift: black T-shirts with our logo, canvas tote bags, pens, and mugs with the line "Tokens burned? Coffee time."

VIP dinner hosted by Infinum

On the first conference day we joined the VIP Dinner hosted by Infinum at the Hyatt Regency Zadar. After a full day on our feet at the booth, it gave us an evening of longer conversations with colleagues from the industry. Thank you to the Infinum team for the invitation.

Thank you, Technology Park Split

Our presence at Shift happened thanks to the support of Technology Park Split. TPS came to Zadar as a conference partner with a delegation of five startups from its High-Tech Incubator and the Innovate Startup Academy: Workspace, Apex Academy, EasyLazy, FIRA Solutions and FAAR, and Apex Academy exhibited in the Expo area alongside us.

Shift came right after two days at Innovate Split, so September gave us two conferences in a row, both with TPS behind us. Thank you to the whole TPS team, and to Infobip for bringing the tech community together in one place.

What comes next

We're back in Split with valuable feedback, new connections and plenty of conversations to continue. Infobip Shift 2026 was our first conference as an exhibitor, and thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, shared their experience and picked up some Workspace merch.

If we met in Zadar and didn't finish the conversation, or if you're planning an internal tool or a custom business system and want to talk to the people who'd build it, get in touch with us.
